— In a thrilling matchup on Thursday evening, Arkansas State emerged victorious against Appalachian State with a final score of 65-55, thanks largely to Kobe Julien’s impressive performance, scoring 18 points.
Julien not only made significant contributions on the scoreboard, but he also grabbed five rebounds, aiding the Red Wolves’ efforts. Other key players for Arkansas State included Joseph Pinion, who netted 14 points and demonstrated effective shooting with a 5-of-10 field goal percentage, including four successful attempts from beyond the arc. Additionally, Taryn Todd added 12 points to the team’s total, shooting 4-for-16 overall while making all of his four free-throw attempts.
The Mountaineers were led by CJ Huntley, who had a standout game, scoring 22 points and collecting six rebounds. Jalil Beaubrun played a supportive role with 19 points, while Myles Tate contributed significantly with 13 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and two steals.
