WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Gabe Dorsey delivered an impressive performance, scoring 30 points as William & Mary triumphed over Hampton with a final score of 94-83 on Thursday evening.
Dorsey also contributed significantly on the boards, grabbing seven rebounds for the Tribe, who improved to a record of 12-8 and 6-1 in the Coastal Athletic Association. Noah Collier supported the victory with 16 points, shooting efficiently at 7 of 10 from the field, as well as 2 of 4 from the charity stripe, while pulling down six rebounds. Additionally, Keller Boothby and Matteus Case each added 12 points to the scoreboard.
On the other hand, the Pirates (10-10, 3-5) were paced by George Beale, who scored 19 points. Xzavier Long had a solid outing as well, finishing with 14 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Trevor Smith rounded out the Pirates’ offense, contributing 11 points.
Looking ahead, both teams are set for matchups on Saturday. William & Mary will be looking to build on their victory as they host Monmouth, while Hampton will hit the road to face UNC Wilmington.
