Thiero recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds, marking a significant milestone as this victory was the Razorbacks’ first in the Southeastern Conference this season.

The Razorbacks found themselves in a challenging position, trailing 46-31 with 16 minutes and 40 seconds left in the game. However, they mounted an impressive comeback, igniting an 18-6 run which allowed them to capture their first lead at 59-58 with just over four minutes remaining. With the score tied at 65-65, Thiero stepped up to the free-throw line with just 1.8 seconds left on the clock. He successfully made his first free throw, but his second attempt bounced off the front of the rim. Displaying great hustle, Thiero managed to secure the offensive rebound and executed a timely layup just as the buzzer sounded, sealing the victory for his team.

Karter Knox also played a vital role in the game, going 11 for 13 at the free-throw line and finishing with a total of 13 points. Arkansas, despite shooting only 31% from the field (18 of 58), excelled at the charity stripe, converting 29 of 34 attempts for an impressive 85%. Conversely, Georgia shot 44% from the field (20 of 46) and made 20 of their 29 free-throw attempts, but struggled in rebounding, losing the battle on the boards 40-30.
