James Madison tops Old Dominion with a score of 74-60

AJ Smith delivered a standout performance with 21 points as James Madison secured a 74-60 win against Old Dominion on Wednesday night.

In addition to his scoring, Smith contributed seven rebounds for the Dukes, who now hold a record of 11-9 and 4-4 in the Sun Belt Conference. Mark Freeman supported the team with 16 points, complemented by three steals, while Bryce Lindsay added 15 points by shooting 5 for 8 from the field, including 1 for 4 from beyond the arc, and going 4 for 5 at the free-throw line.

For the Monarchs, who stand at 8-12 overall with a 4-4 conference record, Robert Davis Jr. was the leading scorer, netting 23 points alongside two steals. Jaden Johnson also made a notable contribution with 14 points, and Sean Durugordon rounded out the effort by achieving a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, plus five steals.

Looking ahead, both squads are set to compete again on Saturday, with James Madison traveling to face Georgia State, while Old Dominion will take on Coastal Carolina at their home court.
