OXFORD, Ohio — Mekhi Cooper contributed 14 points to help Miami (Ohio) secure an 84-76 victory over Bowling Green on Tuesday evening, marking the team’s eighth consecutive win.
Cooper showcased his shooting skills, making 5 of 8 attempts from the field, including 2 of 3 from beyond the arc, for the RedHawks, who now hold a record of 14-4 and remain undefeated in the Mid-American Conference at 6-0. Kam Craft was another key player, adding 13 points on 5 of 8 shooting. Brant Byers also made an impact by scoring 12 points, shooting 4 of 10 overall, with a single successful 3-pointer out of 6 attempts, along with hitting 3 of 4 free throws.
On the opposing side, the Falcons (7-11, 2-4) found their top scorers in Trey Thomas and Derrick Butler, who each registered 17 points in the game. Jamai Felt added further support with 15 points and six rebounds.
