HAMILTON, N.Y. — On Monday evening, Nicolas Louis-Jacques contributed significantly with 19 points, leading Colgate to an 87-80 victory over Bucknell.
Louis-Jacques displayed an impressive shooting performance, hitting 5 of 11 attempts from the field, including 2 of 4 from beyond the arc, and went 7 for 8 from the free-throw line. The Raiders improved their record to 9-11 overall and 6-1 in the Patriot League.
Jeff Woodward also played a crucial role in the win, adding 18 points along with nine rebounds, while Jalen Cox scored 17 points with an efficient 7-for-10 shooting performance.
For Bucknell, Josh Bascoe led the team with an impressive 23 points and three steals. Teammate Noah Williamson contributed 22 points, and Achile Spadone rounded out the scoring with 13 points and seven rebounds.
The first half saw Woodward score 10 points, yet Colgate found themselves behind at halftime with a score of 42-37. The Raiders turned the game around in the second half, launching a significant 10-0 run that overturned a five-point deficit, providing them a 60-55 lead with 9:41 remaining. Cox was instrumental during this stretch, pouring in 13 points in the second half to help seal the victory.
