McClain’s contributions helped elevate Texas Southern’s record to 7 wins and 11 losses overall, along with a strong 4-1 standing in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Duane Posey also played a pivotal role in the victory, contributing 15 points and pulling down six rebounds.
