HOUSTON — The matchup between the seventh-ranked Houston Cougars and the Utah Utes, originally set for Tuesday night, has been rescheduled to Wednesday due to a forecast of severe weather in the Houston area.

The Cougars, who are on a remarkable 10-game winning streak, will now take the court against Utah at 5 p.m. CST on Wednesday.

This change has also affected the Houston women’s basketball team. Initially slated to compete on Wednesday evening, their game against Texas Tech has been moved to an earlier slot at 1 p.m. to allow for a streamlined schedule within the doubleheader format.

According to the National Weather Service, the Houston metropolitan area could receive between three to five inches of snow. Additionally, both William P. Hobby Airport and George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston have announced that they will suspend flight operations on Tuesday due to the anticipated hazardous weather conditions.

Fans and followers of college basketball are encouraged to stay tuned for updates and alerts regarding the AP Top 25 rankings throughout the season.
