MALIBU, Calif. — Luke Barrett contributed significantly with 14 points, leading Saint Mary’s to a convincing 74-50 victory over Pepperdine on Saturday evening. This win marked the Gaels’ sixth consecutive triumph in the season.

Barrett also recorded seven rebounds for Saint Mary’s, which now holds a record of 16-3 overall and remains unbeaten in the West Coast Conference with a 6-0 tally. Alongside him, Mitchell Saxen added 13 points and six rebounds, while Jordan Ross showcased an impressive performance, going 5 of 8 from the floor and making all of his attempts from beyond the arc to secure another 13-point outing.

For Pepperdine, Stefan Todorovic emerged as the top scorer with 16 points, complemented by six rebounds and four assists. Dovydas Butka made his mark with 10 points, while Boubacar Coulibaly contributed with six points and two steals.

The Gaels seized control of the game roughly nine minutes in and maintained their advantage for the remainder of the contest. At halftime, the score stood at 35-22, with Barrett leading the charge having scored 12 points by that time. During the second half, Saint Mary’s managed to widen the gap to 62-36, powered by a notable 13-2 run. Augustas Marciulionis emerged in the latter part of the match, scoring 10 points as the team secured their dominant win.
