GREELEY, Colo. — Northern Colorado secured a narrow victory against Sacramento State, triumphing 68-64 on Saturday night, thanks in large part to Isaiah Hawthorne’s outstanding performance.
Hawthorne contributed 17 points for the Bears, managing to connect on 4 of 10 shots from the floor. His 3-point accuracy was impressive, hitting 3 of 5 attempts from beyond the arc, and he also excelled at the free-throw line, converting 6 of 8 attempts. With this victory, Northern Colorado improved its record to 14 wins and 5 losses, remaining unbeaten in the Big Sky Conference at 6-0.
In addition to Hawthorne, Langston Reynolds played a crucial role, scoring 14 points by making 5 of 6 shots from the field and sinking 4 of 5 free throws. He also grabbed seven rebounds, showcasing his all-around contribution.
