Davidson nets 23 points in Nevada’s 75-64 victory over San Jose State

RENO, Nev. — The Nevada Wolf Pack secured a victory over the San Jose State Spartans on Saturday night, finishing with a score of 75-64, largely thanks to Nick Davidson’s impressive performance, scoring 23 points.

Davidson also played a significant role on the boards, pulling down seven rebounds for the Wolf Pack, who now have a record of 11-7 overall and 3-4 in the Mountain West Conference. In addition to Davidson’s contribution, Xavier Dusell contributed 15 points, shooting 5 of 8 from beyond the arc and also grabbing five rebounds. Kobe Sanders had a solid night too, scoring 13 points with a shooting line of 5 for 11, alongside three successful free throws from five attempts, while also dishing out eight assists.

For the Spartans, who now hold a record of 9-11 and 2-6 in conference play, Robert Vaihola emerged as a key player, registering 12 points and securing six rebounds. Sadaidriene Hall matched Vaihola’s scoring but added two steals to his stat line. Additionally, Josh Uduje also scored 12 points while contributing two steals for San Jose State.

The game saw Nevada taking a narrow lead into halftime, up 36-32. Davidson was the leading scorer in the first half for the Wolf Pack, contributing nine points. The pivotal moment came in the second half when Nevada gained the lead for the final time with 7:18 left on the clock, following a hook shot by Davidson that brought the score to 57-55.
