SAN ANTONIO — The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders secured a victory over the Incarnate Word Cardinals with a score of 69-63 on Saturday night, thanks in part to Garry Clark’s impressive performance.
Clark contributed significantly to the match by scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, bolstering his team’s strong showing.
Along with Clark, Jordan Roberts made a notable impact by adding 11 points and shooting effectively from the field, hitting 3 of 5 attempts and converting 2 of 4 from beyond the arc, along with 3 of 4 from the free-throw line.
Jaden Walker also shined for the Islanders, contributing 10 points on 4 of 5 shooting and helping the team extend their winning streak to six games.
On the opposing side, Jordan Pyke led the Cardinals with a commendable performance, finishing the game with 16 points, nine rebounds, and two steals.
Teammate Dylan Hayman also played well, scoring 14 points and gathering eight rebounds, while Davion Bailey added 12 points along with three steals for Incarnate Word.
Looking ahead, both teams are set to compete again on Monday. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi will make the trip to face Houston Christian, while Incarnate Word is scheduled to play against UT Rio Grande Valley at home.
