TAMPA, Fla. — In an exciting matchup on Saturday night, CJ Brown emerged as a key player, scoring 16 points, leading the South Florida Bulls to a 63-56 victory over the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
Brown also made significant contributions beyond scoring, pulling down five rebounds and recording five steals. The Bulls, now standing at 10-8 overall and 3-2 in the American Athletic Conference, received additional support from Kobe Knox, who scored 12 points by shooting 5 of 8 from the field, including one out of four from the three-point line. De’Ante Green also notched 11 points with a shooting performance of 4 of 9.
On the other side, Justin Amadi stood out for the Golden Hurricane (8-10, 2-3), contributing 14 points and grabbing seven rebounds. Keaston Willis chipped in 12 points alongside three steals for Tulsa, while Dwon Odom played a crucial facilitating role with 10 assists throughout the game.
The first half saw Knox score six points, but South Florida found themselves down by five points, trailing 30-25 at halftime. However, the Bulls bounced back spectacularly, outscoring their opponents by 12 points in the second half. CJ Brown was instrumental in this resurgence, scoring 14 of his points during this final stretch, helping guide South Florida to a much-needed win.
