NEWARK, N.J. — In an exciting matchup, Tariq Francis was instrumental in leading NJIT to a narrow 64-59 victory over New Hampshire on Saturday.

Francis showcased his all-around skills by contributing not only 19 points but also gathering five rebounds, dishing out eight assists, and securing three steals for the Highlanders, who now hold a record of 4-15 overall and 1-3 in the America East Conference.

Sebastian Robinson also made a significant impact, scoring 17 points, with a shooting performance that saw him go 3 of 10 from the field and 10 of 13 from the free-throw line. Another key contributor was Ari Fulton, who delivered 11 points, shooting 3 of 6 from the field and hitting 5 of 8 from the charity stripe.

For the Wildcats, who stand at 4-16 overall and 2-3 in their conference, Khalil Badru was the standout player, registering a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, coupled with two steals. Sami Pissis added 13 points to the scoreboard, while Jawarie Hamelin contributed with 10 points and four assists.

Looking ahead, both teams will be back in action on Thursday, with NJIT traveling to Vermont and New Hampshire set to play Bryant in a home game.
