FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — In a strong performance, Trent McLaughlin scored 21 points, contributing to Northern Arizona’s decisive 77-53 victory over Sacramento State on Thursday evening.
McLaughlin had an impressive shooting night, going 6 for 12 overall and nailing 4 of 8 three-point attempts, while also converting 5 of 9 free throws. His efforts significantly propelled the Lumberjacks, who now hold a record of 11 wins and 7 losses, with a conference record of 2-3 in the Big Sky Conference. Alongside him, Diego Campisano also had a noteworthy game, scoring 19 points by shooting 7 out of 9 from the field, including 5 out of 7 from beyond the arc. Additionally, Carson Towt made a solid contribution with 11 points and secured 14 rebounds. Monty Bowser also added 11 points to the team’s total.
On the other side, the Hornets from Sacramento State, holding a record of 5-12 with a conference standing of 1-3, saw Jacob Holt leading their charge with 18 points and gathering 11 rebounds. Julian Vaughns supported the effort with another 18 points and provided four assists, while EJ Neal contributed 6 points to the team’s tally.
