NEW ORLEANS — Kaleb Banks delivered an impressive performance, scoring 25 points to propel Tulane to an 80-65 victory over Florida Atlantic on Wednesday night.

Banks demonstrated his scoring ability by shooting 8 of 14 from the field, which included a 1 for 5 effort from beyond the arc, and an efficient 8 for 10 from the free-throw line. His contributions were pivotal for the Green Wave (10-8, 4-1 American Athletic Conference). Rowan Brumbaugh also had a notable outing, scoring 20 points with a shooting stat of 4 for 7 from the field, including 3 for 5 from three-point territory, while going 9 of 11 from the line. Asher Woods joined in the scoring frenzy, finishing the night with 16 points after hitting 5 of 10 attempts, which included 2 for 5 from long range, and sank all four of his free throws.

On the other side, the Owls (9-9, 2-3) saw Kaleb Glenn lead their scoring efforts with 13 points. Tre Carroll contributed with 10 points and eight rebounds, while Ken Evans chipped in with eight points.

Tulane established an early advantage in the first half, racing to a 22-11 lead following a 12-0 run. Brumbaugh’s 13 points in the first half were instrumental in helping Tulane hold a 31-23 lead at halftime. Banks dominated the second half, scoring 21 points and leading the team to maintain their lead and ultimately securing the win.

Both teams are set to return to action on Sunday. Tulane will be on the road against Temple while Florida Atlantic will host Rice at home.
