PEORIA, Ill. — In an impressive display of skill and teamwork, Connor Dillon propelled the Bradley Braves to a commanding 118-65 victory against Indiana State on Wednesday evening.
Dillon not only scored 20 points but also contributed with five rebounds and five steals, helping the Braves improve their record to 15-3 overall and 6-1 in the Missouri Valley Conference. Joining him in the scoring effort, Jaquan Johnson recorded 17 points along with three steals, while Zek Montgomery added another 17 points, shooting an efficient 5 for 8 from the field and 4 for 4 from the charity stripe, including a stellar 3 for 4 from beyond the arc.
On the other side, the Sycamores managed to narrow the deficit, with Samage Teel leading Indiana State with 13 points. Both Aaron Gray and Jaden Daughtry contributed nine points each, yet it wasn’t enough to challenge the Braves’ offensive onslaught.
Bradley surged ahead early in the game, taking the lead with 16:20 left in the first half and maintaining control throughout. Johnson was particularly instrumental, scoring 13 of his points in the first period, which ended with the Braves in a commanding position at 66-33.
As the second half unfolded, Bradley continued to dominate, extending their lead to 85-46 at one point, highlighted by an impressive 14-1 scoring run. Montgomery led the scoring for his team in the second half with 10 crucial points, solidifying the Braves’ strong performance and ensuring a comfortable win.
