INDIANAPOLIS — In an exciting clash on Wednesday evening, Butler University managed to topple Seton Hall with a final score of 82-77, thanks largely to Pierre Brooks’ stellar performance, where he netted 19 points.
Brooks demonstrated his shooting prowess by making 6 out of 11 field-goal attempts, including 1 for 5 from three-point territory, and also showcased his free-throw skills, converting 6 of 8 attempts.

Other significant contributions came from Andre Screen, who added 16 points with an impressive shooting percentage of 6 for 8 while also making 4 of 5 from the charity stripe, along with five rebounds. Kolby King rounded out the scoring with 11 points, shooting 3 for 6 overall and hitting 3 of his 5 attempts from beyond the arc. This victory marked a critical break from Butler’s prior struggles, bringing an end to a frustrating nine-game losing streak.

On the other side, Seton Hall’s efforts were spearheaded by Chaunce Jenkins, who scored 21 points and provided four assists for his team. Scotty Middleton contributed 14 points, while Prince Aligbe added 12 points to the Pirates’ total.

Butler took a slim lead into the halftime break, holding a 41-35 advantage. Brooks was instrumental during this stretch, recording 11 of his points in the first half. Although Butler was narrowly outscored in the second half, they managed to secure the win, with Screen leading the charge by scoring 11 points in the latter period.
