Hank Lebioda claimed victory at the season-opening Bahamas Golf Classic on Wednesday, marking his inaugural title on the Korn Ferry Tour. He triumphed over S.H. Kim with a birdie on the very first hole of a sudden-death playoff.

Lebioda finished the tournament with an impressive 4-under 66, totaling an astonishing 18-under 262, which broke the event’s previous record. This notable win came during his 62nd appearance on the Korn Ferry Tour and took place at the prestigious Ocean Club course at Atlantis.

“I’m just incredibly proud,” the 31-year-old former Florida State University golfer expressed. “There was a lot of effort put into preparing for this year and particularly for this tournament. I feel fortunate that everything came together at just the right time.”

Davis Shore finished just one stroke behind after shooting a 66, while Austin Smotherman ended two shots off the lead, also with a score of 66.

This event was the first of two tournaments scheduled in the Bahamas, with the upcoming Bahamas Great Abaco Classic set to commence on Sunday at The Abaco Club.
