Wright scores 22 as North Texas defeats East Carolina 69-60

    GREENVILLE, N.C. โ€” In a competitive matchup on Tuesday night, Atin Wright scored 22 points, leading North Texas to a 69-60 victory over East Carolina.

    Wright also contributed six rebounds for the Mean Green, who improved to a record of 12-4 overall and 3-1 in the American Athletic Conference.

    Brenen Lorient also had a notable performance, putting up 18 points with an impressive shooting performance of 6 for 8 from the field and matching that with 6 for 8 from the charity stripe.

    Moulaye Sissoko added 10 points, hitting 4 of his 6 attempt from the field, rounding out a strong offensive effort from the team.

    On the other side, the Pirates, now 9-9 overall and 1-4 in conference play, were propelled by RJ Felton, who delivered an impressive 30 points along with six rebounds.

    C.J. Walker contributed 12 points to East Carolinaโ€™s efforts, while Joran Riley chipped in with six points, four assists, and three steals.

    Wright made an impact early, scoring nine points during the first half; however, North Texas found themselves trailing 33-27 at halftime.

    In a decisive moment, Felton scored the final seven points for North Texas, which ultimately allowed them to secure a nine-point win.
