Titans commence second round of general manager interviews featuring Ed Dodds and Terrance Gray.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans commenced the second round of their search for a new general manager on Tuesday, conducting interviews with Ed Dodds, the assistant general manager of the Colts, and Terrance Gray, the director of player personnel for the Bills.

This search follows the dismissal of Ran Carthon, who was let go after two challenging seasons in which the Titans managed a record of 9-25. Chad Brinker, the team president of football operations, is at the helm of the search, which initially featured virtual interviews with 10 candidates conducted from Friday through Monday.

Ed Dodds had the distinction of being the first candidate to be interviewed in person on Tuesday, having previously participated in an interview session along with Gray on Saturday. Over the past eight years with the Indianapolis Colts, Dodds has served as the assistant general manager for the last seven. His career trajectory includes a start as a scout with the Seattle Seahawks in 2007, where he eventually rose to the position of senior personnel executive, assessing both college and professional talent until 2016. Additionally, he has experience with the Raiders and began his journey in the football realm at Texas A&M-Kingsville, his alma mater.

As for Terrance Gray, the Titans concluded their interview with him late Tuesday afternoon. Gray has a solid background, having worked for eight seasons with the Buffalo organization, now entering his third year in the role of director of player personnel. He initially joined Buffalo as the assistant director of player personnel and has contributed significantly to college scouting since 2021. Before this, Gray spent 11 years as a college scout for the Minnesota Vikings and began his career in player development and personnel with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2003.
