Christian Pulisic exits AC Milan game with a limp, raising fresh injury concerns

MILAN — Concerns surrounding Christian Pulisic’s health have resurfaced following his exit from AC Milan’s match against Como on Tuesday due to injury.

Pulisic had to leave the game just before the halftime break, which left his teammates with only ten players for the remaining moments of the first half. Alejandro Jiménez took his place for the second half.

The 26-year-old American international was injured after Como defender Marc-Oliver Kempf made contact with his ankle. Reacting quickly, Pulisic called for medical attention and seemed to indicate that he was feeling discomfort in his left thigh.

His status for the upcoming match against Juventus on Saturday remains uncertain.

This incident comes shortly after Pulisic made his return from a previous injury that had sidelined him for nearly a month. He made his comeback in the Italian Super Cup, where Milan emerged victorious. Before this, he was recovering from a torn muscle in his right calf and a minor ankle issue.

During his time in the Super Cup, Pulisic made a significant impact by scoring in both the semifinal and final matches.

This season, he has been a key player for Milan, contributing five goals and four assists in Serie A and netting three goals in the Champions League. In the match against Como, Milan secured a 2-1 victory.
