EDINBURG, Texas — On Monday evening, Howard Fleming Jr. delivered a solid performance for UT Rio Grande Valley, recording a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, assisting the team in narrowly defeating East Texas A&M with a final score of 57-55.

Cliff Davis was also instrumental for the Vaqueros, contributing 15 points, including four successful three-pointers. This victory improves the Vaqueros’ record to 11 wins and 6 losses, with a conference standing of 3-3 in the Southland Conference.

On the other side, Tay Mosher was the leading scorer for the Lions, managing to achieve 11 points in the game. Both Demarco Bethea and TJ Thomas added to their team’s efforts with nine points each, but ultimately, East Texas A&M fell to 2-15 overall and remains winless in conference play at 0-6.
