BALTIMORE — In a thrilling matchup on Monday evening, Kameron Hobbs delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 23 points to lead Morgan State to a narrow 78-74 win over Norfolk State.
The game was a strong display of teamwork, with Hobbs also contributing eight rebounds to help his team improve their record to 8-12 overall and 2-2 within the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
In addition to Hobbs’ impressive stats, Daniel Akitoby made an impact with 15 points, six rebounds, and four steals, while Ahmarie Simpkins matched Akitoby’s points, also finishing with 15.
On the opposing side, Terrance Jones was the top scorer for the Spartans, contributing 20 points to their effort. Sin’Cere McMahon added 13 points, and Brian Moore Jr. rounded out Norfolk State’s performance with 11 points, alongside seven rebounds and five assists, pushing the Spartans’ record to 12-8 and 3-1 in the conference.
