ATLANTA — A spokesperson for reality television personality Chase Chrisley has refuted claims that he attacked the manager of a well-known sports bar in Atlanta last week after being asked to depart, asserting that the incident has been exaggerated.
Chrisley, recognized for his appearance on the reality show “Chrisley Knows Best,” where his family plays a central role, was accused of being intoxicated at a Twin Peaks restaurant on January 6. The police report states that he allegedly refused to leave upon the manager’s request and reportedly slapped the manager two times, even during a 911 call, the audio of which has since been released.
In a statement released on Monday, Adam Ambrose, a representative for Chrisley, emphasized that his client acted responsibly that night by arranging for a driver to take him home. “He did not assault anyone. Chase was simply trying to finalize his bill and exit the establishment,” Ambrose explained.
According to the police report, the manager described the 28-year-old Chrisley as behaving “very disrespectful and belligerent,” claiming he repeatedly declined to leave, which escalated the situation and resulted in the alleged slapping.
Police noted that Chrisley departed with his driver prior to their arrival on the scene. He was subsequently arrested on Thursday, facing charges of simple battery, and has been released on a $10,000 bond. This incident unfolds against the backdrop of trouble for Chrisley’s parents, Todd and Julie, both of whom are currently serving time in prison for bank fraud and tax evasion. A jury had previously convicted them in 2022 for conspiring to deceive financial institutions for over $30 million through fraudulent loans, as well as for tax evasion by concealing their income.
