Kentucky started strong, with Amoore scoring half of the team’s 16 points in the opening quarter, allowing the Wildcats to seize a five-point lead early on. This continued into the second quarter, where Key’s perfect shooting helped Kentucky widen the gap to 36-25 by halftime. Impressively, Bostic was responsible for 56% of Auburn’s scoring before the break, netting 14 points.

The Tigers made a push in the third quarter, cutting the lead to 45-39 thanks to a jumper from Audia Young. However, Kentucky responded with a burst of offense led by Lawrence, who hit back-to-back three-pointers followed by a layup, eliminating Auburn’s momentum with an 8-0 run that extended their lead to 58-44 by the end of the quarter.

This victory also marks a significant milestone in their rivalry, bringing the all-time series against Auburn to an even 28-28. Looking ahead, Auburn is set to host the No. 5 Texas Longhorns on Thursday, while Kentucky will travel to face Georgia on Sunday.
