NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — Quinnipiac achieved a narrow victory over Iona, winning 63-62 on Sunday, thanks in part to Paul Otieno’s performance.
Otieno contributed significantly to the Bobcats’ (9-8, 5-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) efforts, scoring 12 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Amarri Tice also played a crucial role, adding 12 points and securing five rebounds, while Doug Young chipped in with 10 points.

On the other side, Dejour Reaves was the standout for the Gaels (5-12, 2-4), finishing the game with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and two steals. Luke Jungers supported the team with 10 points, and Justin Menard provided nine points along with four assists.

As the game drew to a close, the Bobcats were leading by five points at 63-58 with just a minute left on the clock. However, tension mounted as the Gaels attempted a last-minute shot that could have altered the outcome.
