ATLANTA — Reality television personality Chase Chrisley is facing allegations after reportedly slapping the manager of a well-known Atlanta sports bar when asked to leave the premises.
Chrisley, known for his role on the show “Chrisley Knows Best,” which showcases his family dynamics, was reportedly intoxicated at the Twin Peaks restaurant on January 6. According to a police report, he was uncooperative with the manager’s requests to exit the establishment. Witnesses claim that in a fit of aggression, Chrisley struck the manager in the face on two separate occasions, one of which occurred while the manager was on a 911 call seeking assistance.
On Thursday, Chrisley was taken into custody on allegations of simple battery, later securing his release after posting a $10,000 bond. A representative, who manages public relations for Chrisley as mentioned on his social media, did not respond to requests for comments regarding this incident over the weekend.
The police report detailed that the 28-year-old Chrisley exhibited “very disrespectful and belligerent” behavior as he repeatedly refused to comply with the manager’s requests to leave. This contentious behavior escalated, leading to the physical altercation. By the time law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, Chrisley had already departed in the company of his driver, although the restaurant provided security footage of the event to the police for further review.
In an interesting twist, Chrisley’s parents, Todd and Julie, are currently serving prison sentences stemming from convictions related to bank fraud and tax evasion. In 2022, a jury found them guilty of defrauding community banks out of over $30 million through fraudulent loan practices, in addition to charges related to concealing their income to avoid taxes.
