In a competitive matchup on Saturday evening, Bethune-Cookman clinched a victory against Grambling, finishing the game with a score of 65-59. Brayon Freeman emerged as the standout player, contributing a noteworthy 26 points to lead his team to the win.

Freeman not only dominated on the offensive end but also secured seven rebounds for the Wildcats, who now hold a record of 5-10 and are 2-0 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Tre Thomas supported the effort with 19 points, alongside five rebounds and three steals. Daniel Rouzan added eight points, albeit with a 3 of 9 shooting performance from the field.

On the opposite side, Kintavious Dozier led the Tigers with 17 points, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win. Ernest Ross played a significant role for Grambling, posting 13 points, while also collecting seven rebounds and making contributions on defense with two steals and three blocks. Additionally, Antwan Barnett pitched in with nine points and three steals to round out the team’s scoring.

Both teams are scheduled to play again on Monday, with Bethune-Cookman traveling to face Southern, while Grambling will be hosting Florida A&M.
