Yale emerged victorious in their Ivy League opener on Saturday, defeating Brown with a commanding score of 79-58. The Bulldogs saw impressive performances from Nick Townsend and Casey Simmons, who each contributed 18 points to the team’s success.

Townsend also recorded eight rebounds, showcasing his all-around gameplay for the Bulldogs, who now hold a record of 8-6 overall and 1-0 in the Ivy League. Simmons demonstrated accuracy on the court, making 7 of his 11 attempts and hitting all 4 of his free throws, while also adding seven rebounds to his tally.
