BUFFALO, N.Y. – VonCameron Davis led the way for Kent State in their 68-49 triumph against Buffalo on Friday night, scoring 20 points and grabbing eight rebounds. This victory improved the Golden Flashes’ record to 11-4 overall and 2-1 in the Mid-American Conference.
Jalen Sullinger contributed with 12 points, shooting 6 of 11 from the field but missing all three of his attempts from beyond the arc. Delrecco Gillespie added to the score, finishing with eight points on 2 of 4 shooting from the floor and hitting 4 of 5 free throws.
For the struggling Bulls, who now sit at 5-10 and have lost their last six games, Ryan Sabol was the top scorer with 16 points. Noah Batchelor chipped in with nine points, while Anquan Boldin Jr. managed to score seven.
Kent State gained control of the game with 6:39 to go in the first half and didn’t relinquish the lead thereafter. By halftime, the score was 24-20, with Davis already having accumulated 10 points. The Golden Flashes made a significant move in the second half, pushing their lead to 51-37, aided by an impressive 11-2 scoring run. Davis continued to shine, leading his team with another 10 points in the second half, solidifying the win for Kent State.
