NEW YORK — Smooth like butter, BTS member J-Hope is set to kick off his first solo concert tour next month, showcasing his talent on the global stage.
The “Hope on the Stage” tour will begin on February 28 at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, where he is scheduled to perform for three consecutive nights. Following his performances in Seoul, J-Hope will visit multiple locations including Brooklyn, New York; Chicago; Mexico City; San Antonio; Oakland, California; Los Angeles; as well as cities across Asia such as Manila, Philippines; Saitama, Japan; Singapore; Jakarta, Indonesia; Bangkok; Macau; Taipei, Taiwan; and Osaka, Japan.
This exciting announcement was made through J-Hope’s social media channels and also published on Weverse, a fan community platform associated with BTS’s management company, Hybe.
Weverse has indicated that further details about the North American leg of the tour will be released at a later date, partly due to the significant wildfires affecting California which have had a detrimental impact on the region. The statement concluded with an appeal for fans’ understanding during this challenging time.
In a noteworthy milestone, J-Hope completed his mandatory 18-month military service in South Korea last October, becoming the second member of BTS to fulfill this obligation. At a press conference held at an army base in Wonju, South Korea, he expressed gratitude to his supporters, stating, “I was able to finish (the military service) healthy and safely thanks to my fans. Thank you so much for waiting and your cheering me on.”
Moreover, J-Hope made history in 2022 by becoming the first South Korean artist to headline the renowned Lollapalooza festival in Chicago, further solidifying his status as a global music icon.
