RICHMOND, Ky. — On Thursday night, George Kimble III delivered an impressive performance, scoring 26 points to lead Eastern Kentucky to a 79-74 victory over North Florida.
Kimble’s contribution also included five assists, helping the Colonels improve their record to 8-8 overall and 2-1 in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
Devontae Blanton provided notable support with 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Additionally, Turner Buttry had a solid showing, scoring 12 points with three successful three-pointers from six attempts, and he was perfect from the free-throw line.
On the other side, the Ospreys struggled, dropping to 7-9 for the season and 0-3 in conference play.
Jaylen Smith led North Florida’s scoring efforts, finishing the game with 16 points and contributing five assists.
Jasai Miles also made an impact with 14 points and six rebounds, while Kamrin Oriol chipped in with an additional 10 points to the team’s effort.
