Hurley’s 23 points propel Vermont over UMass-Lowell 67-63

LOWELL, Mass. — In an exciting matchup on Thursday night, Vermont triumphed over UMass-Lowell with a final score of 67-63, thanks in large part to a stellar performance from TJ Hurley, who netted 23 points.

Hurley demonstrated his shooting prowess, hitting 6 out of 13 attempts from the field, along with two successful three-pointers out of eight attempts. He was also exceptional at the free-throw line, sinking 9 out of 10 shots. Ileri Ayo-Faleye provided significant support, contributing 17 points himself while shooting 6 of 15 overall, which included 2 for 8 from beyond the arc. Ayo-Faleye also made his mark on the boards, grabbing 11 rebounds. Nick Fiorillo rounded out the scoring for Vermont with 10 points, shooting 3 of 11 from the floor, including 2 of 8 from three-point range, and converting 2 of 4 free-throw attempts.
