ST. LOUIS — In a thrilling matchup on Wednesday night, Gibson Jimerson made a significant impact by scoring 28 points, propelling Saint Louis to a narrow victory over Saint Bonaventure with a final score of 73-68.
Jimerson also contributed to the team’s efforts by grabbing six rebounds for the Billikens, who now hold an overall record of 10-6 and remain unbeaten in the Atlantic 10 Conference at 3-0. Isaiah Swope had a solid performance as well, tallying 16 points with a shooting line of 5 of 13 from the field, which included 3 for 10 from beyond the arc, and he converted 3 of 4 from the free-throw line. Robbie Avila chipped in with 14 points, successfully making 5 of 9 shots, although he struggled from 3-point territory with just 1 for 5, while also hitting all of his three free throws.
For Saint Bonaventure, who experienced their first defeat after an eight-game winning streak, Chance Moore stood out with a strong showing, finishing the game with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
