In a thrilling contest on Wednesday night, Nick Anderson led the Furman Paladins to a 67-63 overtime victory against The Citadel. Anderson’s impressive performance included scoring 23 points and notching three steals, helping Furman improve their record to 14-2 overall and 2-1 in the Southern Conference.

Cooper Bowser made a notable contribution to the team’s success, scoring 13 points while grabbing 14 rebounds. Pjay Smith Jr. also had a significant impact, finishing the game with 13 points after hitting 4 of 11 shots from the field, which included 3 successful attempts from beyond the arc. Additionally, Smith showcased his defensive skills with four steals, further solidifying Furman’s strong performance.

For the Bulldogs, Cameron Glover stood out with a team-high of 20 points. Sola Adebisi supported the effort with 15 points, complemented by nine rebounds and three blocks. Brody Fox added 14 points, contributing seven rebounds and two steals. Unfortunately for The Citadel, this defeat marked their sixth consecutive loss, putting them at 5-9 overall and 0-3 in conference play.

Looking ahead, both teams will be back in action on Saturday. Furman will be hosting Wofford, while The Citadel is set to travel for a matchup against East Tennessee State.
