PITTSBURGH — Tre Dinkins shined with a notable performance, contributing 26 points as Duquesne edged past Saint Joseph’s with a score of 85-81 in a thrilling overtime matchup on Wednesday night.

Dinkins showcased his shooting skills, making 10 of his 20 attempts from the floor, including 4 of 12 from three-point territory, helping the Dukes improve their season record to 7-9 and 2-1 in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Teammate David Dixon made a crucial 3-pointer with just 4.8 seconds left in overtime, finishing the game with 17 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks. Additionally, Cam Crawford added to the effort with 13 points, hitting 3 of 8 from the field and going a perfect 4 for 4 from the free-throw line.

For the Hawks, Rasheer Fleming stood out, securing a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds alongside four assists and two steals. His performance guided Saint Joseph’s to a record of 10-6 and 2-2 in the conference. Xzayvier Brown also made significant contributions, tallying 17 points and dishing out 10 assists, while Dasear Haskins supported the cause with 12 points and six rebounds.

Looking ahead, Duquesne will travel to face George Washington on January 15. Meanwhile, Saint Joseph’s is set to host Loyola-Chicago this upcoming Saturday.
