Toledo, Ohio — On a thrilling Tuesday night, the Toledo Rockets edged out the Eastern Michigan Eagles with a narrow 90-87 victory, led by a stellar performance from Sam Lewis, who contributed 20 points to the win.
In addition to Lewis, who also grabbed five rebounds, the Rockets saw significant contributions from Sonny Wilson, who scored 19 points while successfully connecting on 6 of 12 field goal attempts and converting 7 of 11 from the free-throw line, along with five rebounds. Bryce Ford shined from three-point range, finishing with 18 points after making 6 of 7 shots, including an impressive 4 for 5 from beyond the arc.
On the opposing side, Jalen Terry was the standout for Eastern Michigan, pouring in 26 points to lead his team. He was joined by Christian Henry, who not only scored 22 points but also dished out five assists and secured three steals. Da’Sean Nelson contributed 20 points to the Eagles’ effort.
