HOUSTON — In an exciting overtime matchup, Texas Southern triumphed over Grambling with a final score of 71-66 on Monday night, primarily driven by an impressive performance from Zaire Hayes.
Hayes led the team with 24 points, completing 8 of his 15 attempts from the field, including 3 out of 7 from beyond the arc. He also contributed significantly from the free-throw line, sinking 5 out of 6 attempts, helping the Tigers improve their record to 4-11 overall and 1-1 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
