BALTIMORE — On Monday night, South Carolina State triumphed over Coppin State with a final score of 85-77, thanks in large part to the performance of Omar Croskey, who led his team with 18 points.
Croskey also contributed significantly on the defensive end, recording three steals for the Bulldogs, who improved their record to 8-9 overall and 2-0 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
Michael Teal shone as well, nailing three shots from beyond the arc and finishing the game with 14 points. Drayton Jones added to the offense by making 7 of his 10 free throws to net a total of 13 points during the matchup.
For the Eagles, Jonathan Dunn was the standout player, finishing the game with 16 points and pulling down six rebounds. Toby Nnadozie also had a notable contribution, scoring 15 points while recording four steals. Khali Horton rounded out the scoring effort for Coppin State with 14 points.
This victory propels South Carolina State forward in the conference as they continue to build momentum in the season.
