BOSTON — In a strong showing on Sunday, Michael McNair scored 17 points to help Boston University secure a 71-63 win over the Army Black Knights.
McNair demonstrated impressive shooting skills, going 6 for 9 overall, with an outstanding 5 for 7 performance from three-point range for the Terriers, who now hold a record of 7-8 overall and 1-1 in the Patriot League.
Additionally, Ben Roy contributed 12 points, making 5 of his 7 shots from the field while also grabbing five rebounds. Miles Brewster also added 12 points for the Terriers, hitting 4 of 9 from the floor while struggling from behind the arc, finishing 0 for 3, and earning four successful free throws out of six attempts.

For the Black Knights, who now stand at 6-8 with a 0-2 record in the league, Jalen Rucker was the standout scorer, leading his team with 17 points.
Ryan Curry also made a solid contribution with 13 points, matching the output of Josh Scovens, who not only scored 13 points but also registered three steals in the game.

Boston University seized the lead with just 2:14 remaining in the first half and maintained it for the rest of the game. They went into halftime ahead 40-35, led by Ben Palacios, who contributed 10 points.
In the second half, the Terriers intensified their performance, executing a 7-0 run to stretch their lead to 12 points at 50-38 with 15:27 left in the game.
The team successfully maintained their advantage to clinch the win.

Looking ahead, both squads will return to the court on Wednesday. Boston University will host American, while Army will take on Loyola (MD) at home.
