HONOLULU — Gytis Nemeiksa was the standout performer for Hawaii, scoring 19 points in their Sunday matchup against Cal Poly, leading the Rainbow Warriors to a 68-55 victory.

In addition to his scoring, Nemeiksa contributed significantly on the boards, collecting nine rebounds for the team, which improved their record to 9-5 overall and 1-2 within the Big West Conference. Tom Beattie also made a notable contribution with 15 points, having an efficient shooting night with 6 of 9 from the field. Tanner Christensen rounded out the scoring with 11 points, shooting 4 of 5 from the field and also grabbing 10 rebounds, demonstrating his impact on both ends of the court.

On the other side, Cal Poly struggled with their performance, falling to 6-10 for the season and remaining winless in conference play at 0-4. Owen Koonce emerged as their top scorer, finishing the game with 15 points. Isaac Jessup added eight points along with two steals, while teammate Peter Bandelj also scored eight points to assist in their efforts.

This victory for Hawaii marks an important step in their season as they continue to navigate the Big West Conference, aiming to improve their standing and build momentum moving forward.
