FULLERTON, Calif. — In an impressive display of skill, Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones scored 24 points, leading UC San Diego to a commanding 90-51 victory over Cal State Fullerton on Saturday evening.
Tait-Jones contributed significantly by also pulling down five rebounds for the Tritons, who improved their record to 13-2 and maintained a perfect 3-0 in the Big West Conference. Alongside him, Tyler McGhie also had a strong performance, netting 23 points and matching Tait-Jones with five rebounds. Despite struggling a bit from the field, Hayden Gray added nine points, shooting three for nine overall, with one successful perimeter shot from beyond the arc. This victory marked the 11th consecutive win for the Tritons, showcasing their dominance in the league.
On the other hand, the Titans, with a record of 5-11 and still searching for their first conference win at 0-4, found their scoring leader in Antwan Robinson, who ended the game with 12 points. Zion Richardson was also notable, contributing nine points, while John Square Jr. added six points to the team’s total.
Overall, the game highlighted the Tritons’ strong form as they continue their push towards success in the season.
