FARMVILLE, Va. — In an exciting matchup on Saturday night, Kyrell Luc contributed significantly to Longwood’s 83-78 win over Charleston Southern, scoring 19 points.
Luc demonstrated his skills by making 5 of 9 shots from the field and converting 8 out of 10 free throws, helping the Lancers improve to a record of 12-5 and 1-1 in the Big South Conference.
Alongside Luc, Colby Garland delivered an impressive performance, finishing with 17 points by shooting 6 of 11 from the field and 5 of 6 from the free-throw line, in addition to providing six assists for the team.
Elijah Tucker also contributed 13 points, showing accuracy by connecting on 6 of 9 field-goal attempts.

For Charleston Southern, Taje’ Kelly was a standout player, leading the Buccaneers with a remarkable 25 points, while also recording three steals and two blocks.
RJ Johnson added to the team’s efforts with 19 points, complemented by eight assists and two steals, while Daylen Berry finished the game with 18 points.
The game showcased strong performances on both sides, but it was Longwood that ultimately secured the victory.
