LYNCHBURG, Va. — In an exciting matchup on Saturday night, Kaden Metheny led the Liberty Flames to a 73-63 victory over the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, finishing the game with 19 points.

Metheny was impressive on the court, making 8 of his 15 shot attempts, including 3 out of 8 from three-point range. Meanwhile, Colin Porter contributed significantly for the Flames as well, scoring 16 points while also dishing out five assists and recording three steals. Zach Cleveland rounded out the scoring for Liberty with 11 points, shooting 4 for 11 from the field and converting 3 of 5 attempts at the free-throw line.

On the opposing side, Middle Tennessee (10-5, 1-1) saw Camryn Weston lead their scoring efforts with 16 points. Essam Mostafa was a standout player for the Blue Raiders, contributing not only 14 points but also pulling down an impressive 16 rebounds and making two steals. Justin Bufford added 13 points to the scoreboard while also blocking two shots.

Both teams will be back in action on Thursday. Liberty is set to travel to face Sam Houston, while Middle Tennessee will take on Kennesaw State at home.
