CHARLESTON, Ill.
– Marko Maletic delivered a noteworthy performance, scoring 25 points to propel Western Illinois to a 75-67 victory over Eastern Illinois on Saturday evening.

In addition to his scoring prowess, Maletic contributed five rebounds to the Leathernecks’ effort, who improved their record to 8-7 overall and 2-2 within the Ohio Valley Conference.
Ryan Myers also made a significant impact by scoring 15 points, along with securing six rebounds and providing five assists.
Sean Smith had an efficient outing, shooting 6 of 11 from the field, finishing with 15 points while also grabbing six rebounds.

For the Panthers, Zion Fruster led the team in scoring with 23 points, putting forth a strong effort.
Complementing his performance, Artese Stapleton added 12 points to the scoreboard, while Malik Olafioye chipped in with nine points.

Looking ahead, Western Illinois will prepare for their next matchup on Thursday against UT Martin, where they will play on their home court.
Meanwhile, Eastern Illinois is set to host SIU-Edwardsville on Tuesday as they look to bounce back.
