Hawthorne scores 17 as Northern Colorado defeats Weber State 89-72

GREELEY, Colo. — In a strong performance on Thursday night, Isaiah Hawthorne contributed 17 points to lead the Northern Colorado Bears to a convincing 89-72 victory over the Weber State Wildcats.

Hawthorne also recorded five assists for Northern Colorado, which improved to 9-5 overall and 1-0 in the Big Sky Conference. Brock Wisne played a pivotal role for the Bears as well, scoring 16 points on an impressive 7-for-10 shooting performance, which included one three-pointer from three attempts. Langston Reynolds added to the offensive efforts with 14 points, showcasing efficiency by hitting 6 of 8 shots from the field and making 2 of 4 free throws.

On the other side, the Wildcats, now at 6-9 and 0-1 in the conference, were led in scoring by Trevor Henning, who netted 17 points and recorded four steals during the game. Dyson Koehler also made a significant contribution with 16 points, while Blaise Threatt added 13 points to the team’s total.
