AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — In a decisive performance, Allen David Mukeba Jr. led the Golden Grizzlies to a 65-49 triumph over Milwaukee on Thursday.
Mukeba not only scored 15 points but also grabbed nine rebounds, showcasing his all-around abilities for the Grizzlies, now holding a record of 5-10 and 2-2 in the Horizon League.
Jaylen Jones added to the team’s success with a solid contribution of 14 points, hitting 4 out of 10 shots from the field, including two out of six from beyond the arc. In addition to his scoring, he recorded seven rebounds and three steals, underscoring his defensive efforts.
Isaiah Jones also made an impactful presence, scoring 11 points with a shooting line of 3 for 5 and going an impressive 5 for 6 from the free-throw line.
For the Panthers, who now sit at 10-5 overall and 3-1 in league play, Jamichael Stillwell was a standout performer, matching Mukeba’s scoring total with 14 points and collecting nine rebounds. Themus Fulks matched Stillwell’s scoring output, also netting 14 points, while Kentrell Pullian chipped in with seven points.
The defeat marked the end of a five-game winning streak for Milwaukee, leaving them looking to rebound in the upcoming games.
Both teams are set to play again on Saturday, with Oakland preparing to take on Robert Morris at home, while Milwaukee is scheduled to face off against Detroit Mercy on the road.
