HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — In a decisive performance, Matteus Case contributed significantly to William & Mary’s victory over Hofstra on Thursday evening, netting 15 points in a 74-56 triumph while coming off the bench.

Case had an impressive shooting night, making 6 out of 9 attempts from the floor, including 3 for 5 from beyond the three-point line, helping the Tribe improve to a record of 7-7 overall and 1-0 in the Coastal Athletic Association.

Noah Collier also made a notable impact, scoring 12 points on 6 of 11 shooting and grabbing eight rebounds. Kyle Frazier was another key player, finishing with 12 points thanks to his efficient shooting, which included 3 for 4 from three-point range and 3 for 4 from the free-throw line.

For the Hofstra Pride, who now have an 8-6 record and 0-1 in the conference, Jaquan Sanders was the top scorer, totaling 15 points while also dishing out four assists. Teammate TJ Gadsden added 12 points, providing support in the scoring department. Jean Aranguren contributed with 10 points, seven assists, and two steals, showcasing a well-rounded performance.

William & Mary established a strong lead by halftime, holding a comfortable 48-27 advantage, highlighted by Frazier’s scoring. After the break, Collier led the team with eight points, solidifying their position and ultimately securing the victory.
