Christian Pulisic Poised for Return in Super Cup Semifinal

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Christian Pulisic is back in good health following recent calf and ankle injuries and is set to potentially play for AC Milan against Juventus in the Italian Super Cup semifinals this Friday.

The US Men’s National Team player had been sidelined for nearly a month due to a muscle tear in his right calf, followed by a minor issue with his ankle. His recent absence was noted as he was recovering from these setbacks.

This season, Pulisic has established himself as a key player for Milan, contributing five goals and four assists in Serie A, along with scoring three times in the Champions League. His performances have been a vital part of the team’s success so far this year.

The Super Cup match will also serve as the debut for AC Milan’s new head coach, Sergio Conceicao, who took over after Paulo Fonseca was let go earlier in the week. Interestingly, Conceicao’s son, Francisco, is a winger for their rivals, Juventus.

In the other semifinal, Inter Milan emerged victorious against Atalanta with a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The final match of the Super Cup is scheduled to take place on Monday, adding extra excitement to the competition.
